Civitavecchia, Italy... June 29

Semester at Sea gave us only one day to recoup, realize that we were just in Barcelona, and then threw us into another country. I don’t even think I regained consciousness until day 3 into Italy.
Anyway, we got off the boat around 10. I went to an internet café in Civitavecchia, a small port city, and paid 2 euro for 45 minutes of internet. Let me tell you, that internet time was entirely filled with facebooking. With limited internet access, I can only quickly get online and sign off. As a 21 year old college student this is a tragic situation. Some of our guy friends were in the same city, so we ate an EXTREMELY long lunch with pizza and wine. Asked an interesting girl named Alice, who my friend Will saw sitting by herself at the same restaurant, to eat lunch with us. The day became full of wandering this small city, eating gelato, checking out their markets, meeting new people and lounging on the beach. Who ever knew meeting new people could be so exhausting. This may sound somewhat shallow (is that the word?) but as you all know chatting, and acting happy and being interesting becomes a task for Caroline Kosse… Found another café ate more gelato, drank more wine and skyped my mother while she was in Michigan. Ate dinner with some more people. That’s bout it.
